Ask the assistant

The AI assistant tab changes the template from a request in words, or answers a question about it:

• “Make the header two columns”
• “Add a totals row to the table”
• “Use our brand colours”
• “Why is this text cut off?”

Select blocks first to ask about them; the request then reads “Change the selection…”. Enter sends, Shift and Enter starts a new line. The assistant sees the template, its sample data, the selection and the problems, and checks the pages before it answers.

Each change is one step: Show changes selects the blocks it changed, and Undo takes it back. People editing the template with you see the change as it is made.

• Requests have a monthly allowance by plan, shown under the request box as “n of N requests used this month”. See limits.
• The request, the template and its sample data are sent to Anthropic’s Claude to answer it. See the privacy policy.
• When self-hosting, the assistant needs a Claude API key in ANTHROPIC_API_KEY; see configuration.

AI agents
